Katrine
Hallo my Chinese friends!
My name is Katrine Ingrid Mehlsen. I’m 18 years old – my birthday was in august. As you probably know I go to Rysensteen gymnasium in Copenhagen, but I live in a suburb 17 kilometres outside the city, which is called Taastrup. I live in a big red house, which is almost 100 years old. I live there with my parents, who are called Ingrid and Torben. My mother is a teacher for mentally handicapped children and my dad is retired. I also have a brother whose name is Kristian but he doesn’t live at home any more. He has been studying international economy in Singapore for half a year now. So I miss him very much.
I use a lot of time on my school, homework and assignments but I also have time to do some fun things such as: going to the movies, hanging out with my girlfriends, going to cafes and cooking with my friends. But I especially like to draw and making collages.
I absolutely love to travel! Both with or with out my parents. For instance I went to visit my brother in New York together with two of my girlfriends from school. It was a totally amazing trip especially because we were so independent and decided what to do all by our self. But I also like to travel with my family. We are actually going to Vietnam in this Christmas holiday.
We have also been to China 8 years ago. We were on a tour from Beijing to Qufu (Confucius town) and to Tsingtao. It was on this trip that my interest for China was developed. I find Chinese culture was fascinating and especially calligraphy which I like to do myself.
I’m looking forward going to China and meeting you all!
Best regards
Katrine
